Is a distinct difference between math majors and english majors? Politically?

I observe journalists or other writers seeing injustices in the world and wanting to fix it, however they can't realize that socialized medicine, regulating industries doesn't work mathematically.

While I don't disagree with these noble goals, in fact I applaud them. I know that individual human innovation can solve these problems without a detriment society like goverment. Also in no individual human can solve the problem then in cannot be solved by goverment because they are made up of individuals
