Can I get some career info from Diagnostic Medical Sonographers?

I'm debating between this and PTA at school. I'd REALLY love to hear from people in the NC/SC areas, but all diagnostic medical sonographers, please answer.

1. What do you like MOST about your job?
2. What do you like LEAST about your job?
3. What was your average starting salary?
4. What kind of environment do you work in? (hospital, specialty practice, etc)
5. Any other info/advice for a tech student considering this career?
